Our estimate is built from real information, your actual home, your actual items, your actual route. The low-to-high range you see here is designed to reflect what you'll actually pay, not just get you to sign a contract.

Absolutely, for small moves with light furniture and a flexible schedule, it can make sense. But most families underestimate the cost: truck rental, fuel, moving blankets, dollies, boxes, the physical toll, the time, and the risk of injury or damage without the right equipment and technique.

A professional crew also moves 2–3x faster than most families working on their own. When you add up time off work, two days of exhaustion, and the risk of something going wrong, the math often looks different than it did at the start.

Your estimate is based on how long the job takes, which depends on what's being moved and the conditions on moving day. Because we gather detailed information upfront, including stairs, carry distance, specialty items, and your home size, our estimates are accurate and rarely far off.

The range you see here is intentional. We give you a low and high so you can budget with confidence, not a single number that may not reflect reality.

We know. The moving industry has a reputation problem, and a lot of it is earned. Late arrivals, broken items, charges that appeared out of nowhere, crews that didn't care, these are real experiences people have had.

We recommend being present for the initial walkthrough at the start of the move and at the final delivery to confirm everything arrived and is placed correctly. During the move itself, you don't have to hover, but having someone available to answer questions and make decisions keeps things moving smoothly.

Kids and pets do best when they're in one room away from the work area, or ideally, with a sitter for the day. It makes the move faster and less stressful for everyone.

We handle your belongings with care from the moment we touch them. But if something does happen, we deal with it directly, no corporate runaround, no waiting months for a claims department to respond.

During your consultation, we walk through how claims work so you know the process before moving day. We'd rather talk about it upfront than have you discover it after something goes wrong.

This is a fair question given how many people have been burned by no-shows. Our crew members are direct employees, not day laborers pulled from a list the night before. When you book a date with VYV, that date belongs to you.
